Continent 8 Technologies Expands to New Locations

New expansion drive has been pursued at eGaming co-location and managed hosting services provider Continent 8 Technologies, seeing its operations spread to new locations and new team members acquired.

Namely, after acquiring Gibraltar&s Vault 247, the company decided to spread all over Europe, so it opened a new data centre in Dublin and a point-of-presence in Milan. In addition to this, it has doubled its network capacity in Asia, and it plans to launch sites in North America within the next 12 months.

However, new locations require new appointments, so Continent 8 engaged an experienced building and civil engineer Eddie Kilbane as Facilities Director covering all Continent 8 data centre locations. Prior to this, Kilbane took part in Data Centre developments in the UK, Ireland, USA, Bulgaria and Malta, so his experience will surely be put to a good use in the development of the next-generation data centres.

Another new appointment in the company is David Stickland who has become their Account Director, in charge of the development of business opportunities within eBusiness sectors outside of eGaming.

In a comment on his appointment, Stickland said: “I am delighted to have joined such a progressive and forward thinking company. What&s key in developing new markets is a proven track record, Continent 8 has a huge amount of experience within the demanding eGaming space both in terms of actual companies hosting, and the level of staffing expertise, all of which are transferrable to other sectors.”
